Foundation cracks are fairly normal in block walls. In fact, if you were to survey similar houses the age of yours, I doubt there would be one without a crack.
The extent of the crack is the only cause for concern. If you begin to develop considerable margins, it is possible the foundation isn't on good ground on that corner. However, this is not generally the case.
The biggest problem is water infiltration. I wouldn't spend any more than a grand on any wall repairs or basement waterproofing. Be very careful, some of these guys make a lot for doing a little. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
