Electric in-floor heating

Posted by Steve on January 1st, 2004 10:46 AM

I'm laying ceramic tile in a kitchen, and would like to use some form of wire or mat heating. The systems i've priced are all too expensive. Is there another alternative in electrical, resistance type, in-floor heating, that would be less expensive? How far apart can the wire be laid, in order to just take the coldness off, instead of making the whole floor a warming plate?
