Retaining Wall

I have a retaining wall along one side of my riding arena. It is made of 6x6 and after 15 years, it's starting to bow. I'd like to replace it with blocks or something more substantial. Any ideas? I don't want to put $15,000 into fancy blocks (it's 140 long xy 4 feet high). I'd also like to do the job myself. Can I build a wall infront of the existing wall? Thanks.
