under ground water

harry thanks once again ! i moved in about 8 months ago, never really noticed the amount of water being pumped out because the pump was tied to a basement toilet (ejection pump)than running to the sewer drain, i did away with the toilet and ran the pump to a pipe running out to the street. now it is more noticeable, the house next door to me has no pump and reports no real problems, unless they have a sewer main back up. i drove around the area yesterday to see if anyone had water dicharging in front of there house. i found one other house pumping water, they also are located at the low point of a nearby hill.
