What about tile over tile?

What about ceramic over ceramic, Rocketmanallen? My husband's solution to putting a new floor in the bathroom is to put cement between the tiles, and lay a new floor over it. It didn't seem too last too long with the linoleum tiles he put there a few years back, but he thinks it will work better this time. What do you think?
