I have a concrete basement floor that was previously painted with latex directly on the concrete. Due to a water leak, areas of the latex have come up and made a mess. I would like to know how I could get the rest of the latex paint off for staining or repainting. Would keeping an area wet with water and perhaps a bedsheet lift the old paint? I would prefer not to use a paint remover product if possible. Any help is appreciated.
