Attic remodeling

I plan on remodeling the attic of our single story home an make it into a bedroom for our daughter. There is plenty of room in the attic and there is even enough room downstairs for the staircase. My question is what do I need to look out for as far as plumbing and things like that? I totally remodeled the house 5 years ago so the plumbing and wiring is all new. I was wondering about venting the plumbing and heating and cooling. As it stands now, the vent for the plumbing would be lower than the newer fixtures.
