getting more heat from old radiators

Posted by Rick Howe on January 15th, 2000 09:36 AM

Our old house uses Steam Radiators, and the one in the kitchen is too small and in the wrong location to effectively hear the room. I'm hoping somebody knows of a thermostatically-controlled "radiator fan" that would turn on when the radiator reaches a certain temperature, and circulate air from the bottom to the top of the radiator. I think I'm looking for some form of long skinny "barrel" fan that would sit on the floor under the radiator and push air upwards. Anybody know of such a thing?
