House is 90 years, or older, frame construction. Front door is heavy oak door. Threshhold had weather stripping on top of oak plate - weather stripping was aluminum (so it looks) with folded edges that holds in a brass strip which is bowed. This strip measures 1 3/8 wide, by 1/8 inch high, and is 36 inches long. The bottom side is adhered to the oak threshhold by a viscus, tacky substance. Where can I find a replacement for this piece? I do not want to take this door off it's hinges, or do anything to the bottom of the door itself. Please help.
