the "mobile home" roofs I've seen have had roof trusses built from 1x2's instead of 2x4's. I think to tie in (the way I am imagining you want to) is to tear out the 1x2's at the hip location and put in a 2x6 ridge perindicular to the ridge line (probably a 2x6)...thats the best I can do without dimensions.
