water has to go somewhere

if the condensate cant leak out it will either fill the dryer hose or drip down the hose till it comes out somewhere

i would reroute that hose and try to get it stright out a wall or something

the fact that its going thru an unheated part of the home is the problem. insualtion may solve the problem but if it still condensates the miosture will go somewhere

each load of laundry produces 4 gallons of water vapor, agreed only some of that will condensate insode your vent pipe and the rest passes harmlessaly out to the atmosphere. the point being there is lots of moisture in that hot dryer air
