flocked wallpaper

I spent about 3 hours with a steamer trying to get flocked wallpaper off an entry hallway with two layers of old wallpaper beneath it. I managed to get about a square foot of all three layers removed down to the plaster in that amount of time. Is there an easier way? The steamer has worked well on all the other rooms with regular wallpaper.....
