some laminate flooring doesn't require a sub-floor over concrete...there is a foam backing the has to be taped down and the laminate pieces snap together and you drive them in place (no gluing or nailing)...I don't know of any colors other than wood grain fo-finishes. The square footage coverage per carton is on the box.
