In reply to Determing AWG Wire gauge by plumber Tom on January 10th, 2004 01:44 AM [Go to top of thread]

.....For a "correctly-sized" wire to "Burn-Up" a serious fault has occurred........

A HOT Smelly breaker is a problem......Post back with the brand....there are "lemons" out there........

Install a new run of 12-2 w/grn........that can be served from either the 20 or 15 AMP breaker...

Interior equiptment wiring is engineered for the load....UL/Agency approved.........For repair work it's safe to be generous with the wire size.....

What does this Power at the "boiler" ?......How old.....what condition......?
