stripping Oak Kitchen Cabnets

Posted by Rick Wells on January 11th, 2004 08:51 AM

Bob, I want to refinish my Oak Kitchen cabinets, but I'm trying to find an easyer and quicker method to strip the old finish. Using chemical strippers, wire brushes, and sand paper is laborious. The cabinets have a lacqure finish. Can a sandblaster be used to strip this type finish without damaging the wood. I've heard that walnut shells or corn cob abrasive material can be used on painted exterior wood but needed to fine out what the results are on Oak cabinets.
