I am dealing with a similar situation. The washer overflowed and water flowed underneath and on top of the vapor barrier. I pulled up the floor, back to the point where the moisture ended. (This just happened today, and I was searching for info concerning water damage to the planks. Mine is actually Traffic Master.)

If you can do it yourself, the repair should not be too bad. You will need to number the planks in a manner that allows you to keep them in the proper order, and you must take care not to damage the planks as you take them apart.

Once to the damaged area, replace the damaged planks with spare or matching planks. If no spares are available, I suggest taking planks from an inconspicuous end or corner row, and replacing the end row with new planks so any color inconsistencies will be less noticeable.

This project should not be too difficult. The time consuming work was already done - laying out and cutting the boards to fit. You are just pulling up and replacing the boards.

As for my floor, only time will tell if the planks have soaked up enough water to swell so that they are not useable. Good luck.
