Clarification to wiring and power at the exhaust fan switch

The intent is for the switch at the door jamb to turn the light fixture on and to provide power to the exhaust fan.

What I actually have with wiring as described previously is that the light turns on AND...

I have a switch near the exhaust fan which is at toilet level and the switch will turn off the light but it won't turn on the exhaust fan and the fan is plugged in within the housing - My intent wasn't to be able to turn off the light from the toilet but to be able to switch the exhasut fan on and off while on the toilet.

Sorry for any confusion but hopefully this will clarify.
