Micro over stove

In a prior home, we only had 12 inches, and I think like 13 or more was recommended. What'cha'gonna'do with an older home? This worked just fine, with no problems, for the last 15 years we owned the home.
I should mention, this was over a built in stove top only, Jen Aire to be specific. Ovens were built into another cabinet. Ahhh, the Jen Aire had it's own down vent system, not relying on the Micro for venting. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
