Have been holding wires to be twisted with needle nose pliers and twisting with duckbills. Would advantage of electrician's or lineman's pliers be that the 14 would not slip out of the pliers and wrap around the 12? Is that what's happening?
And yes, certainly the 15 amp breaker.
