Hey Lee!
I stumbled across (y)our name on-line and decided to do a little research for you. Here's a link that, I believe, shows the clip from the episode of Bob Vila's show that you're referring to - http://www.bobvila.com/BVTV/HomeAgain/Video-1321-03-0.html.
If that's the correct segment, they're referring to Carlisle Tung Oil (an old-style tung oil varnish, an original formulation from 1916). Here's the link to that supplier - http://www.wideplankflooring.com/home.cfm

If that lead comes up dry, here's the contact info for the guy who was using the product in that segment -
Howard Brickman
Brickman Wood Floors & Brickman Consulting
244 Mt. Blue Street Norwell MA 2061
hbrickman@netway.com

Finally, if all else fails, that segment was sponsored by Sears - they might even sell the Carlisle Tung Oil at Sears!

I also came across this link to an upcoming trade show in Boston -
http://www.restorationandrenovation.com/RandR/spring2004_event.shtml
Restoration & Renovation Trade Show, Boston 2004
April 21-24, 2004
Hynes Convention Center,
Boston, Ma.

Sounds pretty cool!
If you ever have internet/research-type questions, don't hesitate to ask me. I'd be happy help if I can!

Mar
