Jane I have a 1996 double wide and this past March I put the laminated wood floors in my home and it was no problem. It is beautiful and so easy to keep clean. They put this stuff down under the flooring, paperlike. I have not had any problems with it at all. I also took off the strips and filled in the cracks sanded and then put up my own choice of wall paper. Makes the home look like a modular.
