Temporary wall

My husband and I are looking on putting in a temporary
wall between our family room and extra bedroom/office
area. It's in the basement and there is only one set
of windows on one side of the room so we're interested
in being able to open up the room periodically. Yet,
we want to be able to separate them when guests come.
We've had some ideas on how to do this but don't feel
totally confident on any of them. We want something
that's easy to move back and forth and that's also
somewhat soundproof. Anyone else have any ideas on how
best to tackle this problem?
