It will depend on what's causing the problem and how handy you are. As Tom said, a broken belt may be a possible cause of such symptoms on some models.
Frigidaire makes a number of different washer designs so which one you have would likely be important as to possible causes for your symptom. The model number if the only way to tell which washer you have.
