i read that you should never paint a bathroom countertop - mine is ugly beyond description - a yellow counter/sink combo with streaks of flecked gold at various intervals. what options do i have to cover it rather than replace? it is a plastic-type solid counter about 1" thick - could i cover it with formica or tile?
