I live in an area which is exposed to extreme temperatures. I recently had a contractor install copper siding throughout the exterior part of the house. I also had a new metal roof installed.
In the chimney area, the copper siding meets the metal roof and accordingly, it was separated by the caulk and ice/water shield to prevent galvanizing. Watching your show, I am not sure if this is properly installed. Copper siding and metal roof might touch each other through expansion/contraction.
We also have copper soffits and it is nailed into the wood. I am not sure either if the nail would comeoff causing the copper to come loose for the expansion/contraction process.
Please help me understand the proper installation process for the copper siding and metal roof.
