painting over bathroom floor tiles

Is there a way I can paint my bathroom tile floor. It has a few broken tiles in it but they only have a slight "line" in them. I saw a floor one time that looked like they had painted it to look like an old floor. It was very pretty. It had a lot of little lines and etc in it.
