gas heat

The person doesnt state if this is natural gas or propane. Same effects at meter or tank regulation. If gas company recently filled your tank with propane, they may have overfilled and is picking up liquid . If so, the regulator is freezing, and can be thawed with hot water, or warm rags wrapped around regulator. If this is case, call the propane gas dealer, and tell him to add a bottle of rubbing alcohol on next fill. If you can get unthawed and system re-lit, this will stop shortly when small amount of gas is used.
