I had the same thing happen with my Front Load Maytag Neptune. It turned out the door was not locking which would not allow the unit to go into a full spin. A circuit board had to be replaced. I purchased the extended warranty at the same time and only had to pay the cost of a service call - the part was covered ($300 savings!) The subsequent labor was also covered. I will never let my W/D go out of extended warranty again.
