Moisture coming through bathroom ceiling

Posted by jfr on January 21st, 2004 08:25 AM

I recently made my bathroom larger by removing an interior wall. When I did this I found a vent pipe. I had to run this pipe up an exterior wall using 90 degree elbows, then connect it back to the original vent pipe above the ceiling (in a very small attic) again using the elbows. I now have moisture coming from the ceiling. Is this because I need to inuslate the pipe, or could it be that the elbows were not sealed properly and moisture is building in the pipe and coming through. I see the most moisture when doing laundry or showers. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks
JFR
