tar removal from wood floors

i found a product made by "de witts" (the people that make the tar). it is called "remove it." it comes in a quart size spray bottle and we bought it in the lumber department at home depot. i don't know who else would carry it but it does work well. it is non-toxic and non-flammable water base and biodegradable citris base. i sprayed it on at night and let it set, then after respraying, using a putty knife and a rag with water, you can clean and scrape the paper and tar off. you might still have to sand afterward, but not as much. hope this helps
