I've had my whirlpool bathtub for about 10 years.
For the 1st 4-5 years there was no problem, Although I didn't use the whirlpool very often.
About 5 years ago I truned on the motor and a barrage of oily strips and black specs shot out of the spouts. Up til then I had been taken oil baths. I stopped the oil baths and ran the whirlpool several times a day for a couple of weeks. The substance seemed to disappear. And now its back. I usually run a hot tub with dishwasher detergent (as per manufacturers suggestion) every few weeks. I believe that the
dishwasher detergent cleans the acrylic tub.
What can I do to clean these spouts. The paperwork given to me by the manufacturer gives no hints as to maintenance and I (NO l) want to get rid of the blace specs and NO 2) Sanitize my tub and spouts. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thank You
