My 3 pulley Craftsman 10" 113 244510 uses 56 7/8" blades (suspect 57" will work)the 1/8" saw that came with it was badly rusted and snapped into 5 pieces when I turned on the saw for the first time. (I should have moved the pulleys by hand first.) The blade in your machine may not be correct for the unit. Before I found ALL the pieces of my blade I was contemplating running a cloth tape measure I liberated from the sewing basket around all three pulleys while the tension adjustment was run all the way in to determine the minimum blade circumference my machine required. By the way a three pulley machine requires four hands to install the blade the first time (again I think I did well lacking a manual).
The widest blade I could find locally at Sears was 1/4" so that's what I am using now. I have no manual for my machine but I suspect that 1/2" is about as wide a blade as this machine can accomodate.
I'd not used a bandsaw before but really like it, it cuts any piece of wood I have tested it with with ease.
