Thanks for the additional info. What does the opener motor do...just sit there and hum or does it shut off...? Where is the micro switch that tells the motor that the door has reach full up position...is it accessible and can you check to see if it has gotten out of adjustment to where it thinks a foot off the ground is full open..--if this is the problem readjust the full open micro switch.....Last suggestion is to contact the door opener manufacturer and ask for their technical help!!! Sorry I can't be of more help to you without seeing your specific symptoms firsthad......hOPE THIS HELPS AND GOOD LUCK ..Let us know what it turned out to be..as your problem...and the solution...-Besides replacing the door opener...
