I installed a comfortmaker furnace three years ago. Which ran great and infact was to hot and had to keep the heat on 65. Last week for 5 days we had no heat because it started short cycling. It called for heat the burner came on for 90 seconds and as soon as the blower came on, off went the burner. So it never got hot enough to warm anything. Mind you we have been have tempertures below 0 in New York this year. After suffering in this freezing cold with out heat and replacing everything replaceable the problem was there was a whole in the diaphram which causes the vacuun to lose suction and send a signal to shut off the burner, We bypassed this and it running like a charm. Look for the simple solutions first. I hope this help all of you frustrated comfortmaker owners who are having similar problems with your furnaces. I stumbled on this website looking for answers myself, so I want to share the results I've encounted and hope it may help many of you. Good luck ! I hope this helps.
