Log Home Heating Problem

Posted by Tony Nabozny on January 28th, 2004 11:22 AM

We built a log home and put a wood stove in the
basement.(Our first mistake) We thought the heat would naturally
rise and we would be very warm. What we have found is that the heat dose not rise to the loft area. In fact it is donw right chilly. I have cut vents in the floors and there is a certain amount of improvment but not nearly what we thought would happen. Dose anyone have any advice on establishing a heat flow?
