My furnace did the same. I cycled the power and listened for an ignition spark. There was a spark but the gas did not ignite. A fireplace lighter ignited the gas the next time I cycled power. I guess eithe I have a bad ignition electrode or the spark power is inadequate to ignite the gas. If anyone can give pointers on where to go from here, I would greatly appreciate.
