I have a problem. We had our roof replaced this year. They did a complete tear down as I had 4 layers of asphalt and 2 layers of cedar shake. After the plywood went on they put 6 feet of ice damming plus felt the rest of the way up. They installed a ridge vent and I do have soffit vents. When I crawled into the attic I noticed frost on the backside of the roof. The problem is that on a warm day this drips down to the first floor walls. In the attic there is insulation with egg crate between the insulation and the roof. The two bathroom fans do vent into the soffit area. Living in Wisconsin this does concern me. Did the roofers do a bad job? The soffits are aluminum and there are only 3 inserts with vents. The ridge vent is probably close to 30 feet long. Any sugestions?
