Sometimes these experiences remind you that you are not alone with your problems. We have a five year old home which had a Hampton Bay fan in the formal living room. This summer the fan started to turn itself on and off on its own. Three days ago it just stopped altogether. Now we are $80 poorer and need a new fan the electrician assured us the problem was not in our electrical connections! If yours doesn't work I'll bet it isn't the electricity but the fan itself. We have owned many fans but never experienced a five year old fan just stopping. Save the $$$ and invest in a Hunter Douglas!!!! I wish I would have read this site first and then made a decision!
