I have a very old house (1909- redwood) and I have to replace a fairly large/long piece of wood. I can get redwood to match but I need to get the rought surfice, aged with lot's cracks. I tried the crackel you can buy in the store, but it's not deep enought, also it doesn't look the same. It's like a imbossed small squairs. Over the years of paint (different kinds) this surfice has become very unique. You know anybody who has expermininted with rought old serfice, please let me know. I will share my experience too.
