do a little thinking

do some measureing

cut carefully

place where you want it with one or two nails

when your sure everything is correct, put the rest of the nails in

chaulk the edge with paiters chaulk, fill nail holes with wood filer, wipe with wet towel before it dries so you dont have to sand

prime and paint

sometimes i like to buy pre-primed molding as it saves a step, or prime it before installation as you donjt have to worry about cutting in along floors and what not, saves some time, you could also paint it before installation, then just touch up after nailing it up

remember measure twice, cut once
