here you go remember everything needs to be done in a decimal form....take the length x the width x the depth, now with this number divide by 27 and this is the cubic yards....so lets say its 10' wide 40' long and is 4" thick it would be 10 x 40 x .333 = 133.2 now divide by 27 (theres 27 cubic feet in a yard) and you get 4.9 yards so you can round it up to 5 yards.
