Since you're going to replace it, you must have some vague idea about carpentry. How does it look like it attaches to you? Use a hammer, sawzall, prybar. Pound, cut and pry. Eventually it will come out or apart, and you will see how it is attached. Or you could find whoever put it in, and ask them how they did it. Id tell you more, but I can't see it through my computer.
