I've got black, white, and yellow wires dropping down thru the outlet box on the ceiling. From what I've understood the black should be hot, the white should be neutral, and the yellow is ground. However, when connected with the light fixture in this manner the light bulb (installed for testing purposes) goes on but when the switch is thrown from the wall the wires spark and short out. Then I have to go to the circuit breaker to turn that section of the house back on. What am I doing wrong?
Please help!
