It's a crime what this architect accepted/builder did. My employer has a large home on the bay of the central west coast of Florida. It's a cement block two story. I don't know if they used metal because they did not have plastic cornering at the time of building(early 1990's) or what. They used metal edging for lack of proper term,to make the edges and colloums and then used flat latex paint on all walls, instead of metal edging and oil paint or plastic edging and latex paint. Again this house IS ON A SALT WATER BAY two miles from the gulf of mexico with only a narrow barrier island btween. I am having a heck of a nasty rust problem this fine house is starting to look like a rusty battle ship. I have sanded, ospho'd, primed with rustoleum then the latex house color knowing if I can even match the color in oil it will stand out. I havent tried marking the spots to see if the rust is coming back in the same exact places or just moving down the line, but it seems to be coming back in same places and growing.
