Sorry if I came off wrong. I love my cat, but I am realistic. I do not know of anything except cat urine that smells like cat urine. Besides, the ammonia in cat urine is so high, just a little bit can cause a big stink when it is re-wetted. Also, a cat can pee near a spot and have it wicked over to another spot (ie: though carpet, wood, drywall, etc).

Also, I know from experience, that once a cat pees in a spot, residue will remain FOREVER. I have had a cat relieve himself once on a rubber lined throw rug which was on top of the carpet in a corner of a room. Years and years later, after he was dead and gone for a long time, after we had carpet replaced twice, and eventually re-covered with ceramic tile, my wife got a new kitten, and less than a week she had discovered the spot and would not stop sniffing it, and shortly therafter decided the exact same spot was a good place to go. I also have seen were cat pee soaks into wood and from that day forward, anytime it gets wet, or humid, that wood will reak.

Sad as it seems, the ONLY way you will keep cat pee out of your house is to keep the cat out of your house. From hard and expensive lessons, we have "cat rules" for the last 10 years. Our cat comes in only when we let him, and goes out when we are through petting him. No roaming through the house!!! We keep an electric hotpad (low voltage, just in case), folded in a towel, in a cat cage for him to keep warm with on cold nights. If it is REAL cold, we will lock him in the bathroom over night.
