we just ripped up our carpets and found we have wood floors. we would love to refinish them. yet we have 1/8-1/4 gaps and gouges in a few places. while living in nyc. we saw a floor where they had used a clear subsance to fill the gaps. does anyone know what it could be? if we were to use something else it would look like bubblegum stuck in holes and stained. would acrylic work?
