** I have a Sears Kenmore model 665 portable dishwasher ... From the number of posts it looks like there are a number of people who own this model of portable dishwasher. ***

JFYI. What you posted is only the vary first part of a model number which only identifies whom manufactured it for Sears. The manufacturer was Whirlpool BTW which is Sears most predominant appliance contractor so there is good reason that that maker's products are asked about a lot. There is only a very slim chance (if not astronomical) an of those messages pertains to your exact model.

** the fill/drain hose unit due to the connection between the inlet hose and the plastic molded connector that couples to the faucet starts leaking. ... Has anyone else experienced similiar problems **

I've never heard the compliant of water leaking from between the hose connection and the plastic unicoupler housing on any make of dishwasher. Leaks from between the coupler and the faucet adapter... yes.

Maybe you can try a unicoupler from an different make of product since it looks to be out of warranty. You can see a possibility at the following link. BTW. The hoses usually come preattached with factory crimped hose connections.
