Garage Door Problem

Sounds like an alignment problem. Especially since it only happens when temperatures cool. The different materials used in the door, track and garage expand and contract at different rates as the temperature changes.

Disconnect the door from the opener and begin to shut it manually. Every time it stops or hesitates, check the spacing of the rollers on each side. The distance that the roller shafts extend from the bracket holding them to the door should be approximately the same. If they are not, it should be possible to adjust the track in or out alleviate the binding.
