Our cabinets are original to the house - since 1978. They were painted white by the previous owner 10 years ago. I want to repaint them white. I don't know if oil base or latex paint was originally used. I have removed all hardware and my son has sanded the gloss off the surface. What kind of white paint do you recommend for resisting stains in the kitchen? Should I prime over the old paint sonce there are chips where dark stain shows through in some places?
