I have found a great combination for making your cabinets (or any other piece of furniture look antiqued. Clean, Sand and then prime your cabinets. Paint them antique white or any other off-white shade that you like. Then (and this is the tricky part) Use a glaze with a small amount of burt umber or raw umber tint to it. Home depot sells a Ralph Lauren product called techniques glaze. The color teastained is just perfect for making furniture look mellowed and aged. I just picked up some tonight at HD - it was a challange to convince them that they have the formula in their computer - tell them to look under tea
